There was a lot of positive momentum at the Town of Caledon General Committee Meeting—but one standout moment was a powerful presentation from the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA). https://ontruck.org/
It was refreshing and encouraging to hear such a frank and honest conversation about the serious issues plaguing our roads and the trucking industry. The OTA didn’t hold back in highlighting the severity of the situation and emphasized that they continue to advocate for real change at both the provincial and federal levels.
What truly matters is this: alignment and unity. When groups like the OTA, the Town of Caledon, neighbouring municipalities, and engaged residents come together and speak with one voice, we become impossible to ignore. This is how we keep these issues front and centre—this is how we create pressure that leads to action.
This is the power of making noise together. And it’s working.
The more we collaborate and keep pushing, the more momentum we build toward safer communities, stronger enforcement, and responsible industry standards.

Together, we are being heard—and together, we will drive the change our communities deserve.
