CCRSA does not protest lightly. We protest because we have no other choice.
For years, residents have raised serious concerns about illegal truck yards, unsafe commercial vehicles, unqualified drivers, and weak enforcement. We have written letters. We have attended meetings. We have spoken to municipal leaders, police services, and provincial representatives. We have provided evidence. We have shared personal stories. Still, the Province is not listening.
When government ignores clear and ongoing safety risks, silence is no longer an option.
Our protests are not about politics. They are about safety. They are about protecting our families, our children, and everyone who uses our roads. No one should feel afraid driving through their own community. No one should accept near misses, constant noise, damaged roads, or the fear that a serious collision is only a matter of time.
Together with residents from Vaughan, Caledon, and surrounding communities, we are standing united. The overwhelming support from the community shows that we all want the same things. Safer roads. Fair enforcement. Accountability. Respect for the rules that exist to protect lives.
This movement is powered by everyday people. Parents. Seniors. Local workers. Neighbours who are tired of being ignored while dangerous conditions continue to grow unchecked. The unity we are seeing is a clear message. This is not a single street or a single municipality. This is a growing province wide issue that demands immediate action.
CCRSA will continue to speak up until meaningful change happens. We will continue to stand with our community. And we will continue to push for safer roads for everyone.
Because safety should never be negotiable.
