A big thank you to everyone who came out to have their say about the proposed temporary zoning bylaw amendment to allow truck and trailer parking at 13291 Airport Road (just north of Healey, on the east side).
Your voices made a difference.
If you missed the meeting, we strongly encourage you to watch the video. Several important concerns were raised directly to the landowner’s planner and the Town of Caledon—concerns that reflect what many residents are feeling.
The bottom line is clear:
This type of land use is not appropriate in this location—not now.
📍 Public safety is at risk.
Collision rates at Airport Road and Healey Road are already climbing. The speed limit along this stretch is 80 km/h, and there is only one lane in each direction. Trucks turning in and out of a driveway at this location will only add to the danger and further congest an already overloaded road.
💡 Infrastructure first.
Before adding any more truck-heavy developments, road improvements need to happen first—not after. We cannot keep compromising safety for convenience.
If you weren’t able to attend the meeting but still want your voice heard, please take a moment to email your thoughts to the Town’s planner and local councillors:
Let’s continue to stand together to protect our roads, our safety, and our community.
