Peel Regional Council meeting.
Important conversations about road safety took center stage — including a key discussion on expanding red light cameras across our region.
Councillor Tedjo from Mississauga initiated the conversation, highlighting the urgent need to address dangerous intersections. We want to give a special shoutout to Councillor Mario Russo, Annette Groves (Mayor of Caledon), and Councillor Christina Early for their strong voices in support of Caledon’s ongoing road safety challenges.
It’s clear that stronger advocacy at the provincial level is needed — and we stand fully behind the efforts by the Town of Caledon and the Region of Peel to push for more red light cameras at critical intersections.
We’ll be following up closely with the Town of Caledon to stay informed on next steps and actions coming out of today’s meeting. Any initiative that speeds up improvements to road safety is more than welcome, especially since residents are eager to see real action.
Together, we’re #inittogether to make our roads safer for everyone.
