A United Front Against Illegal Land Use

We want to extend a sincere thank you to Mayor Annette Groves (Caledon), Mayor Patrick Brown (Brampton), and Mayor Steven Del Duca (Vaughan) for coming together and taking a strong, united stand.

These three leaders have recently written a joint letter to the Province, calling for the proper tools to tackle illegal land use in our communities. Among their key requests are the ability to barricade illegal sites, increase fines for offenders, and apply those fines directly to property titles—ensuring they are paid when properties are sold.

These changes would not only hold violators accountable, but could also save millions in taxpayer dollars by avoiding costly and drawn-out legal battles.

This kind of collaboration is powerful. Thank you, Mayors, for standing together and putting residents first. We hope the Province listens and acts once the House is back in session October 2025.
