The Caledon Community Road Safety Advocacy Group (CCRSA) has launched a petition urging the Ontario government to address illegal truck yards and road safety issues in Caledon and surrounding areas.

The petition, tabled by MPP Jennifer French on Dec. 12,2024, advocates for stricter enforcement of land use, increased truck inspections, and improved driver training standards.

After a tragic collision in Bolton, CCRSA has been proactive in seeking government action and collaborating with Caledon’s revamped Illegal Land Use Task Force.

The group also aims to empower residents to report violations and calls on neighboring municipalities to join their efforts for safer roads across the region.
